Isn’t it great how God’s plan for us is so much better that what we have planned for ourselves? My plan was not even close to where I am today. I thank God every day for not allowing my plans to prosper because His plan was so much better. I was only going to support Chad’s plans and dreams for Whitley Automotive while I worked on my own adventure. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science, and I was working for an environmental company in Charlotte when God started nudging me to go in a different direction. Chad and I were expecting our third child when I realized just how difficult it was going to be to be an effective mother to three kids and still work the crazy hours I was working toward my career. God was nudging me to focus more on my kids than my career. He opened doors for me to move into education. I started working as a teacher’s assistant. From there, I believed God was calling me in to a career as a teacher. However, that was not what He had planned for me. Doors began to close, and others opened. It was clear that God wanted me to partner with Chad in operating and managing Whitley Automotive. So that is what I did. Together we are stronger, and God knew it. Now I’m not only Chad’s support, but his partner in the business. I am able to use my analytical attention to details to manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Human Resources for Whitley Automotive. This has allowed Chad to focus on the face to face of the business. It has allowed him to be in the position that he loves to be in and that is helping our customers, our employees, our community, and our family. This has also allowed me more time to be a devoted mother to our four children. And yes, it also allowed me time to teach not only my kids but others as well. Although I didn’t move into teaching as my career didn’t mean I wasn’t going to be teaching. I had the time to volunteer at schools and was able to make teaching my hobby. I’m so thankful that God knew what was not only best for me but for my family as well. Our children had the benefit of not only my attention and time but Chad’s also. With both Chad and I operating and managing the business, we both had time to devote to raising our children as we grew our business. God is so good.
Her favorite thing to do outside of work is baking. She loves to bake cookies, cakes, pies, cake pops, and anything sweet and yummy. She is most proud of being an aunt to her two very beautiful nieces. She enjoys spending her weekends with them. Aunt Deedee is her favorite title. She would have chosen to own a big beautiful barn for wedding venues. She loves planning parties, decorating with any theme, and organizing events. She is currently planning her own wedding. Her dream car is a Jeep Wrangler. Her dad used to drive her and her sisters in his Jeep all the time when they were kids.
His favorite thing to do outside of work is camping with his family. My proud of his family. ” I would not trade them for the world”. If I didn’t work here would love to run a food truck. “I enjoy cooing and making people happy”. His first car was a 1999 Ford Ranger with a blown clutch.
